A benefit for the local chapter of Slow Food, an international nonprofit that works to preserve culinary diversity, is scheduled for Friday.At the event dubbed Dine Around, guests and Slow Food members will “slowly wander” around Aspen to sample the town’s “finest gastronomic delights,” according to a brochure from the group.Four groups will meet at 5:30 p.m. to begin the taste tour at the Ajax Tavern, Campo di Fiori, Cooking School of Aspen, and Mogador. Wine pairings will accompany the meals.The gathering is limited to 65 people. Tickets are $65 for Slow Food members, $75 for nonmembers. Payment, either by cash or checks made out to Slow Food Roaring Fork, is due before the event; no payments will be taken at the restaurants.For reservations and information, call Natasha Deane at 948-9970 or e-mail
