Follow Ireland’s example

Dear Editor:

We have now the information regarding plastic bags and plastic bottles filling up our landfills and breaking down, getting into our food chain.

With a little effort, remembering to bring our own bags shopping, and our own bottles to refill at the water stations around town, we can have a significant positive impact.

When Ireland imposed 25 cents per paper or plastic bag, use dropped 80 percent in one year!

This incentive will, hopefully, help us all become bag ladies and gentlemen.
