NEDERLAND, Colo. ” The Boulder County coroner said a skier who died at Eldora Mountain Resort was from Florida.

The coroner said 46-year-old John A. Bosman of Orlando suffered head injuries while skiing Wednesday.

Resort officials say he was found on a double-black diamond run, which is for advanced skiers, at about 1:15 p.m.

Eldora spokesman Rob Linde said members of the ski patrol began life support and an air ambulance was summoned to the scene.

Bosman was pronounced dead at 2:13 p.m.

Boulder County sheriff’s Cmdr. Phil West said Wednesday that it appeared the man had “run into some kind of obstruction.”

Eldora, a Front Range ski resort, is located west of Boulder.
