Flight for Life helicopter crashes in Frisco

A crash involving a downed Flight for Life helicopter, an RV and another vehicle brought first responders rushing to the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Frisco.

Steve Lipsher, with Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue said the helicopter and vehicle were engulfed in flames. Three people were on the flight.

“It was wobbly, unstable, it pitched one way and crashed,” said Jason Bogner, who was biking with his family when he saw the crash.

He said one of the passengers walked out of the helicopter. Two others were helped from the crash.

Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue extinguished the fire by 2 p.m. The names and status of the victims have not yet been released.
