Flag out of character with Highlands

Dear Editor:

All four of us are seniors and were straight and sober. All four of us saw the same thing Saturday while skiing on a beautiful day at the Highlands. Great weather and great snow.

We were riding the Loge Peak lift and off to our left skiing down the Meadows run there was a skier carrying a very large white St. Regis flag. You cannot make this stuff up. The Highlands is not a ski area where your large white St. Regis flag belongs. Perhaps at Beaver Creek or in Utah at Deer Valley. But not at the Highlands.

It has long been rumored that your executive management staff is out of touch with the real world. The above incident seems to lend truth to that rumor. If at all possible can someone from the St. Regis respond to this letter and explain the logic behind the white flag deal?

Readers of this letter please respond in writing to the editor with you opinion on how you feel about the white St. Regis flag or call the St. Regis at: (970) 920-3300.

Should the white St. Regis flag stay or go?
