Flag Day invite
Dear Editor:The Aspen Elks Lodge invites the Aspen public to a celebration of Flag Day. Flag Day was originated by the Elks Lodges of the United States, and the flag is honored each year on June 14. The 14th falls on a Wednesday this year. The ceremony will be held at 510 E. Hyman Ave. in the Elks Building Patio area. The flag and some of its past history will be explained. The actual ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Following the ceremony a barbecue will be held, to which all are invited. So help us celebrate our flag and have a bite to eat. See you on June 14.Dick MillerAspen Elks Lodge224 BPOE
