FirstBank pays fees for humans to adopt cat and dog friends Saturday

FirstBank Basalt branch employees Jordan Diaz Guerrero (left) and Mayra Adan Valentin display the murals FirstBank displayed in branches so customers could jot their favorite charities or recommend individual acts that would make Roaring Fork Valley a kinder, happier place. Animal and pet-related charities were clear favorites.

This fall, FirstBank is sponsoring a pet adoption that ran from Wednesday through today Saturday, Sept. 30 at Colorado Animal Rescue (C.A.R.E.) in Glenwood Springs from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. FirstBank will pay all adoption fees at C.A.R.E. For more information, call C.A.R.E 970-947-9173 or visit the organization’s website online at

The site has photos and mini-bios of dogs, cats, kittens, and a furry ball-shaped animal named Carmelo — all awaiting for their human friends to bring them home.

C.A.R.E. asks that you click on this link and complete an easy survey prior to adopting.
