First Western Trust, Aspen launches grant contest

First Western Trust, Aspen is launching its 2017 #WealthIsAbout Grants Contest.

The grants contest will award $7,000 to a nonprofit that supports one of First Western Trust’s three pillars of philanthropy — economic development, the arts, and women and girls.

The contest will run in three parts. The first part is a call for nominations. Any area nonprofit that supports one or more of First Western Trust’s three pillars of philanthropy is invited to submit their organization for consideration to

Nominations are open until June 22. On June 26, voting will be open to the public. The Aspen community will have two weeks to vote.

The top three organizations with the highest number of votes by July 10 will then move forward to the third round. During that review round, the organizations will be evaluated by the First Western Trust Grants Committee and the winner will be announced July 13.
