Fire training set Saturday in Aspen

ASPEN – The Aspen Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a live-burn exercise from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at a soon-to-be-demolished residence at 76 Placer Lane in Aspen.

The exercise is being conducted as part of the ongoing training volunteer firefighters use to remain proficient in structure fire interior attack scenarios. There will be no road closures due to this training exercise and there may be intermittent smoke during the actual training.
