Fire danger worsens in Colorado, elsewhere

DENVER – Firefighters say the danger of wildfires is worsening in Colorado, Wyoming and western South Dakota.

The Rocky Mountain Area Coordination Center on Thursday raised its preparedness from Level 2 to Level 3. Level 5 is the highest.

The center coordinates firefighting in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.
