Editor:I’m wondering if any of the people who keep bitching about the steel and glass structure have actually been down to Hallam Lake and looked up. Because as you are reading this, there is a life-size model of just what the structure will look like and just where it will be on the property. I did go down to the lake and you cannot see it! It is behind three 100-foot trees in Mr. Lewis’ yard.Since when is it any of our business how someone chooses to design their own yard? As did the Brown and the Paepcke family enjoy a swimming pool in their backyard, why, again, is it a problem for Mr. Lewis to do the same? After all, we all seem to be enjoying the swimming pool he and his family donated the majority of the money for, otherwise known as the ARC.As for those who keep referring to this as the “party pool,” the last party Mr. Lewis had was a birthday party for his mother a year and a half ago. Who knew this was so objectionable, or that entertaining in your own backyard has become such a sin. All of the busybodies in this town need to find themselves a hobby.Kelly DelaneyAspen
