Fill those potholes |

Fill those potholes

Dear Editor:

I have just returned from visiting a friend at Aspen Valley Hospital who was very badly injured in a bike wreck on Castle Creek Road. He is a very experienced rider and very familiar with the road. Nevertheless, he was taken down by a pothole, of which there are many. The condition of the road surface presents a real danger to cyclists and motorists alike.

For those concerned about safety, I would suggest that improving the road surface is far and away a better use of money than adding miles of guardrail that will detract from the rural nature of the road.
