Fill a basket for the holidays

Dear Editor:

The Holiday Baskets Program has been supplying gifts and food gift cards to people in need from Aspen to Blue Lake for more than 30 years. This is a totally volunteer project with many individuals and organizations in our community making donations of money, gifts and time. The need is particularly great this year as we will be serving 250 families (well over 1,000 people).

Unwrapped new gifts of clothing, blankets, gift cards, etc. as well as games and toys may be dropped off at Christ Episcopal Church (536 W. North St., Aspen) the week of Dec. 5. Monetary donations may be made to Holiday Baskets c/o Christ Episcopal Church. (Holiday Baskets is a 501[c][3] organization).

Thank you for your generosity.
