Feb. 11 concert to benefit Haiti relief effort

ASPEN – A benefit concert featuring numerous local musicians will be held Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen.

The event begins with a silent auction at 6 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m. with performances by John Oates, Bobby Mason, Jimmy Ibbotson, Twirp Anderson, The Crowlin Ferlies, The Derek Brown Band, Melissa and Kelly Gabossi, Defiance String Band, Starcher Hutsen and Cottonwood Acoustics.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids 18 and younger. VIP tickets are $500 and sponsorships are $1,000. Tickets are on sale at the Wheeler Box Office and at aspenshowtickets.com.



All proceeds benefit the Mercy and Sharing Foundation, which has operated orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding centers in Haiti since 1994. The nonprofit was founded and is operated by Aspenites Joe and Susie Krabacher. Donations can also be made at Alpine Bank in Aspen or online at http://www.HaitiChildren.com.

Radio stations KUUR and KSNO are sponsoring the benefit concert.
