The disappearance of Dana Mytty, a 17-year-old Missouri Heights girl, has left her family and local law enforcement perplexed.

Doug Mytty, her brother, said Dana was last seen on Thursday evening at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. On Saturday, a friend reluctantly told Doug that he expected to see Dana that night, but admitted the next day that Dana had not turned up. The family has since called a number of her friends, who have been unable to provide information.

Doug, 27, said a missing person report was filed with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office. But he said local law enforcement officers have told the family there’s little they can do in the way of issuing an Amber Alert, because there is no direct evidence she was abducted.

Dana is scheduled to begin her junior year at Basalt High School.

If anyone has seen Dana or has information about her whereabouts, call the Mytty household at 704-1960.
