Faith bolstered

The 103 community members, speakers and musicians who turned out to honor the victims of violence in Sopris Park on September 11 have my utmost admiration.

It was truly inspiring to hear the messages of hope and peace by Michael Hassig, Marie Gasau, Peter Larrowe, Calvin Lee, Scott Chaplin, Lauren Martin, and to hear the beautiful music of KC Johnson and the Earthbeat Choir, John Adams and Rich Ganson.

Coming together as a community to remember the victims and renew our commitment to make the world a better place bolsters my faith in the inherent human goodness that will ultimately lead to justice for all and peace on earth.
