Failing to understand

Dear Editor:

I fail to understand ACRA’s problem (“ACRA looks for a voice” Aug. 29). Because it lost a City Council vote on a hotel by the narrowest margin possible, 3-2, it feels itself marginalized. Does it want to replace City Council with itself?

City Council was elected by the Aspen voting population at large, many of whom are not ACRA members and who don’t understand why ACRA, having weighed in, feels unrespected when a democratic vote didn’t go its way.
