Faces of the valley, and beyond

Last Friday evening there was a show of photographs at the Keating Gallery in Basalt. It was a unique opening that included the entire spectrum of people of the valley. There were waiters and waitresses, yuppies, bartenders, storeowners, Latinos, artists, and people from Aspen, Carbondale, Emma, Glenwood, Denver, and Reno, Nevada. Even the notorious Allyn Harvey ventured an appearance and had a good time.

In the interest of full disclosure, I must say the photographs were mine. They are still up, and if you get a chance to visit the gallery (next to Cafe Bernard), please thank Gordon for hosting the show. He has established his gallery as a place to gather and a center for great events. Also, thanks to all the people that attended.
