Extinguish the flame

Dear Editor:

I feel that the eternal flame across from Paradise lacks the new image of Aspen. Not only does it attract people that aren’t always lawful citizens, but it wastes valuable petro-chemical resourses.

If the city manager really wanted to save on the budget, the flame is a good place to start. I can’t believe it’s very Canary Initiative-friendly. Because of the flame, I’m wondering what image this city is trying to project?
