Expect nighttime noise at airport

ASPEN ” New runway sensors are being installed at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, and neighbors can expect nighttime noise until Thursday, Nov. 1.

The safety improvements will occur along the west side of the runway near Owl Creek Road. The Federal Aviation Administration requires that the work occur during hours when the airport is closed.

Airport officials say the noise can be expected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. For more information call 429-2852.
