Expansion a good thing

Dear Editor:

I’m writing in favor of Aspen’s library expansion and revitalization. The plans grow with where the community seems to be heading. For one, the Galena Street project connects more of our town together. We would be expanding the creativity of Aspen with outside seating for events in the library plaza during the summer and now maybe even the winter. The design brings nature into the first level of the library, similar in Basalt.

The project, to me, goes along with fewer cars and more green activities such as walking and biking by making its front entrance on the plaza side instead of Mill Street.

I just wanted to speak up and say this project is way more positive than negative.
