Ex-Bandar workers are welcome at Lift-Up

Dear Editor:

Thank you very much for featuring the story of Prince Bandar closing his palace here with no notice or severance pay or extension of health insurance benefits to the employees who have served him, some faithfully for 20 years. This action has a similar effect on our local population as the sudden closure of an auto plant in Detroit.

Shame on Bandar! He should return the key to the city, which I believe was presented to him a few years ago.

As a member of the Baguettes, the group that opened the Aspen Lift-Up food pantry, I invite all of you ex-employees and your families to come to the pantry for the basic food items you may need while you reassess your financial and employment situation. You are always welcome. We are here for you.

Lift-Up is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. We are located at 465 N. Mill St., first driveway on the left after Puppy Smith Road. Our telephone number is (970) 544-2009.
