Everyone loves a parade

Dear Editor:

I was born and raised in Aspen, and although I am in Louisiana for a while I was bummed to hear that there was not going to be a Winterskol parade this year. What’s up with that?

Did the parade route not fit in with VH1’S “Secrets of Aspen” filming schedule? Come on, people! I’ll bet the person who decided hasn’t seen very many. What’s next? Taxing skiing per run? The kids and tourists both love it.

I loved Dr. Whit leading the way with a toilet plunger and all the goofy “Aspen” floats. I’m sure at least one shop sold something, so at least look at it as lost revenue, not a tradition (older than me, circa 1960) and maybe someone will notice!
