EOTC to meet at Aspen City Hall

ASPEN ” The Elected Officials Transportation Committee has changed its Thursday meeting place to the City Council chambers at Aspen City Hall.

The EOTC had originally been slated to meet in the Rio Grande conference room. The meeting will begin at 3 p.m.

The committee is made up of elected officials representing Aspen, Pitkin County and Snowmass Village. It disperses about $1.5 million each year from a half-cent transit tax.

The group is expected to vote Thursday on a plan to offer free bus service between Aspen and Snowmass Village this summer and fall, as well as some $480,000 in additional funding to complete the $8.5 million bus lane project connecting Buttermilk and the roundabout on the outskirts of Aspen.

The public is welcome at Thursday’s meeting.
