Enjoy Cheyenne

Dear Editor:

I am sorry to see Hotel Colorado general manager Larry MacDonald leave Glenwood Springs to become the troubleshooting general manager of the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyo., owned by his employer.

At least the Hotel Colorado’s parent company, Providence Hospitality Partners, did not give MacDonald a security escort out of the hotel the way the Sultan of Brunei treated his Beverly Hills Hotel general manager Kerman Beriker in early 1997. But then again, Kerman Beriker ended up managing a swanky Caribbean island hotel with lots of beautiful chicks and affluent jet-setting clients.

Good luck MacDonald! I was in Cheyenne in 1977 when the first McDonald’s restaurant opened, and it was a newsworthy affair.
