Energize the Holy Cross board

Dear Editor:

It is amazing to me that with the apparent interest in energy matters locally, there appears to be little interest in the current Holy Cross Energy board member election.

Significant energy policy matters are made regularly by this board that affect the entire valley. We hear often about carbon mitigation, gas drilling, oil shale and the problems with energy exploration on the Roan Plateau. But local papers have not even interviewed the Holy Cross candidates, whose views on energy issues vary widely. Ballots are due at Holy Cross by June 6.

Holy Cross is a fine company, but it is time to introduce new energy to the board. Please vote for newcomers Lynn Dwyer and David Campbell for the board of directors.
