End of an ordeal

Dear Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported us through some legal issues brought on as a result of a non-compete contract.

It has been a brutal battle for five years. Emotional, stressful not to mention financially devastating. But now it appears we have finally come to the end in lawsuits. Because of all the wonderful support we have received over the years, we are overwhelmed.

We have met new friends and reconnected with old friends. Even support from acquaintances was amazing. We have come to know just what it means to be rich; not in the money sense, but better. I know that may seem odd to some. We actually “started” having our own recession long before everyone else because of these lawsuits and can honestly say to those who may be suffering financially now, call a friend, talk to a loved one, get it off your chest then have some fun. Go sledding, play card games, see friends over a bottle of wine or homemade meal. No amount of money could give us what was important – friendship, support, kind words.

Support Local Journalism

Just hearing people say, “It will be OK or I’m behind you,” was huge. We wish we could name you all directly but there were so many of you, we would run out of newspaper. So at this time, we would like to send a big fat thank you – you know who you are!
