Empowering ourselves
Dear Editor:Wind generators installed above and/or behind Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass – using the electrical wire cables that bring electricity up from town to power the lift motors – could also be used (if the wires are able to carry the load?) to send excess wind generated electricity down to town and the grid.Who knows, other ski areas may also follow and participate. Let’s help keep our distance (and dependence) from the one who wears the turban on his head.Art PhillipsAspen
