Emotion-themed lectures on tap at AVH

Staff report

Aspen Valley Hospital has two more free programs in its “Coping with What Comes Your Way” lecture series this fall. Both take place at the hospital from noon to 1 p.m.

On Thursday, Dr. Alan Nelson, psychiatrist, will talk about emotional maturity. Nelson’s information is based on the findings of Dr. William Menninger and touches on the topics of reality, change, life’s stressors, giving vs. receiving, relationships, creative and constructive outlets and the capacity to love.

And Nov. 5, Nelson will discuss the qualities that enable one to bounce back from a particularly difficult time.

For more information, call 970-544-1296. Light refreshments will be served.
