Elizabeth Carre Pirtle

Elizabeth Carre Pirtle died on May 21, 2010 at her home in Old Snowmass, Colo.

She was born in Conroe, Texas on June 6, 1950. After graduating from high school in Conroe, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., where she excelled in musical theater. She had a passion and talent for music and the arts throughout her life.

She is predeceased by her mother and father, Martha Walker Bell and Henry Grady Bell Jr., MD, of Conroe. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John Michael Bell and Carolyn Bell of Houston, and by her former husband, Raymond Pirtle of Nashville.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Aspen at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2010. The family requests that contributions be made to the Aspen Music Festival and School, 2 Music School Rd. Aspen, CO.
