Electric vehicles offered for test drives in Aspen this Friday
Motorists will have a chance to test drive a variety of electric vehicles in Aspen from noon to 3 p.m. Friday in the Community Banks of Colorado parking lot.
The electric vehicles available for test driving include Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model X and S, Chevy Bolt and Volt, plus the Audi A3 e-tron. Test drives take 20 minutes. A valid driver’s licenses is required.
The test drives are part of an electric vehicles sales event underway in which participating dealers are offering discounts as well as state tax credits up to $5,000 and federal tax credits up to $7,500. Participating dealerships include Audi Glenwood Springs, Colorado MBW Center, Mountain Chevrolet, and Boulder Nissan.
The event is put on by Refuel Colorado, Garfield Clean Energy, and CLEER, and sponsored by CORE, Eagle County, Holy Cross Energy, Garfield County Public Health, Walking Mountains Science Center, and the municipalities of Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Snowmass Village, Vail and Avon.
