Education is key

Dear Editor:

The decreasing economy has been affecting people in big ways. All over the news there are stories of big corporations and businesses losing a lot of money and of how hard it is for people to get jobs. But what they don’t really talk about or show is how, because of the economy, there have been many schools closing in different parts of the country.

It is very important that kids have an education because it’s something that will help them later in the future; also the things that kids learn when they’re young will really have a big impact on how they will contribute to society and how their actions might be when they become adults.

Most criminals are that way because of the way they have been taught; if you teach a person to do bad then they will because they haven’t been taught to do good. But if a person is taught how to be able to distinguish the good from the bad they will be less likely to commit a crime because they know better and that there will be consequences to their actions. The kids of today are tomorrow’s future, so to see a better future there has to be change today.
