Educate yourself, Cleverly

Dear Editor:

I guess Michael Cleverly stays home and plays with himself a lot. He doesn’t volunteer to review what is happening in his community nor does he educate himself on the rights of property owners.

We in the caucus take the time to educate ourselves, and the property owners in this case have gone way above and beyond what they could have developed to save a view that everyone enjoys. All construction has temporary impacts ” such is life. The property owners will restore the view and enjoy their property that they have the right to develop, which is a win-win situation.

It would be fun to turn the table and imagine if Cleverly actually owned a piece of property here himself and wanted to build his own home how he would react to someone telling him what he could or could not do. I think he would write scathing letters defending his rights and tell us all to quit our volunteer jobs in the caucus if we did not agree with his plans.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor, Cleverly: Educate yourself before you open your mouth and go off on things you obviously know nothing about. Go volunteer, see what it is like. You may find yourself having the courage to apologize to those you use as a target for your poison pen.

P.S. This is all I have to say Cleverly, so if you try to get off on an argument in print, it won’t happen.
