UPDATE: EB Highway 82 reopens at CMC turnoff after accident cleared
Eastbound Colorado Highway 82 was reopened a little after 6 p.m. Tuesday following a wreck that occurred a couple of hours earlier at mile-marker 6.5, just before the Thunder River Market/CMC intersection (Garfield County Road 154).
According to the Garfield County Emergency alert system, the closure occurred at about 4:10 p.m. and the highway was reopened at 6:03 p.m.
Colorado State Patrol spokesman, Trooper Gabriel Moltrer, said the wreck was reported at 4:01 p.m. involving a head-on collision. One driver was being tended to by EMS, and there were no injuries in the second vehicle, he said.
