Eagle County unveils draft community plan

EL JEBEL – Eagle County will unveil the draft Mid Valley Area Community Plan in an open house in El Jebel Tuesday.

The public open house will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Mount Sopris Room of the El Jebel Community Center. Two identical presentations will be given at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. All Roaring Fork Valley residents and business owners with an interest in the midvalley are encouraged to attend.

The Eagle County Planning Department has been working on the plan since 2009, collecting input from residents, local government officials and service providers. The open house will allow the staff to show the audience maps with proposed future land uses, which will guide how and where development will occur. The staff also will share community vision statements.
