EAGLE, Colo. ” Eagle County saw just 104 real estate transactions in January, the fewest in 12 years.

January transactions totaled $124 million, the lowest in four years, according to statistics compiled by Land Title Guarantee Co. in Eagle.

January is customarily the slowest month for realestate in Eagle County, which has seen record sales over the past few years.

The county saw $2.96 billion in real estate sales last year, a record that beat 2005’s $2.8 billion in sales.

The county includes the resort areas of Vail and Beaver Creek, as well as a sliver of the Roaring Fork Valley, including El Jebel and part of Basalt.
