Ducky Derby is Saturday at Rio Grande Park

Aspen Rotary Club’s world famous Ducky Derby will be held Saturday in Rio Grande Park in Aspen. The lucky person who adopts the winning duck will win $10,000. There’s also a chance for someone to win a special lucky duck worth $1 million.

The Ducky Derby Festival in Rio Grande Park features entertainment, food, drink, children’s activities, a silent auction and an opportunity to purchase unique Ducky Derby gear. Proceeds from this annual event support youth groups and charitable projects of Aspen Rotary Club and Rotary International.

Schedule of events:



All day: Youth games and booths

10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Silent auction



10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Music

11:30 a.m.: Food court and beer garden

2:15 p.m.: Duck race launch at No Problem Bridge

3:03 p.m.: Duck race finish, below Mill Street Bridge

3 to 4 p.m.: Festivities continue

4 p.m.: Ducky Derby winners announced
