Driving home a positive attitude

Dear Editor:

On Dec. 11, I was the only passenger on the Mountain Valley route, and Ben was driving at that time.

We spotted a group of young guests with their maps in hand, skis and luggage. I asked Ben if we could stop and see if they needed help and in Ben’s usual happy, friendly way, he said, “Sure.”

We learned they were blocks from their lodge and definitely going the wrong direction. With Ben’s cheerful manner he welcomed them all aboard, and keeping his on-time bus schedule he was able to get them to their location. Shortly thereafter we came across another group with the same dilemma and he again came to their rescue while keeping his schedule.

It has always been such a pleasure to be on Ben’s bus, with his great greeting to each person, and, I will add, not just during the holidays. He is definitely a RFTA driver who needs to be congratulated!

Thanks, Ben – I know you made our guests start their Aspen holiday with a positive attitude.
