Drinking and driving is a tragic recipe
Dear Editor:
I remember her last words to me: “Love you, Mom. Talk to you tomorrow!” Before dawn on Jan. 1, 2005, my world was shattered. My wonderful child had died in a car crash, and the driver was arrested on drunken-driving charges. Not her friend, a chance meeting.
We have had enough tragedy this year! Please have a safe holiday. If you drink, have a designated driver, or call the Tipsy Taxi and give a donation if you can. But please, do not drink and drive!
In loving memory of Josanna Morningstar, 1982-2005, a child of the mountains and of Aspen.
