Don’t throw the good book at meat

Dear Editor:

Anybody catch Andrew Teller’s “The diet of Lent” letter (Feb. 13, The Aspen Times)? A low, disrespectful and lame article. To try and put a guilt trip on his meat-is-murder mission using the Lord, the Bible, Lent and Genesis 1:29 sucks.

Yes, Genesis 1:29 says God made plants for us to eat. Back up, Chucky! God also said in Genesis 1:28 that man has dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air and every other living thing that moves upon the earth. Then there is Genesis 1:30. God talks about how every beast of the earth is food.

I could talk Bible stuff all day, but I gotta go and meet the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse for chicken-fried steak at Little Annie’s. We will use some of those grains you speak of. I heard beer is made from them.
