Don’t take away the privilege
October 8, 2009
The Wilderness Workshop would like us to believe that our current wilderness is only that of “the high-elevation rock and ice variety.” The truth is a large percentage of our designated wilderness varies greatly in altitude and is lush, green, and full of wildlife and alpine lakes eight months of the year. Our wilderness is very ecologically diverse.
My husband and I are senior citizens and enjoy the present availability of the forest land for our use. We are no longer capable of hiking extensively or horseback riding and must rely on motorization (i.e. RV) to enjoy the forest lands. Please don’t take this privilege away from us.
