Don’t step backward

My mom (Sandy Israel) brought my sister and myself to Aspen 25 years ago. I have been in the Aspen schools since second grade.

Mr. Tom Farrell became my principal in my senior year at Aspen High School. For the first time, we had a person who gave us support, spirit and pride in ourselves.

He created the first Project Graduation (non-drugs). I played football/track/hockey and he asked all the athletes to pledge to play “drug-free” … and we did, and we were successful!

Mrs. Morgridge and Mrs. Michaels have misplaced criticism. I can only speak from my personal experiences. If we lose Mr. Farrell, it would be a step backward for our school system.
