Don’t sell our land

Dear Editor:The Colorado Senate recently voted on a resolution urging the U.S. Forest Service to withdraw its proposal to sell forest lands. The resolution, while not having any force of law, passed overwhelmingly. I want to be very clear I am in support of the resolution and against this move by the federal government, and I will do anything and everything in my power to discourage the plan’s implementation. Representing 11 counties in rural Colorado, I know how much we cherish and value our public lands and forests. Selling off the lands will have permanent ramifications for short-term gains, and that is simply unacceptable. As your state senator, I will continue fighting to preserve our public lands at every level of government. State Sen. Lewis H. EntzHooper
