Don’t assume those responsible are responsible

Dear Editor:David McCollough, the author of a very fine book about the Johnstown flood disaster, said in reference to it, “It is a great mistake, possibly perilous, ever to assume that because people were in positions of responsibility, they were therefore behaving responsibly.” I suppose this is true regarding anyone we choose to be a leader. My advice is, be sure your leaders are acting with integrity and responsibly; otherwise, send them packing.Bob KeenanCarbondale
