Do not forget the fallen
Dear Editor:
While the whole of the USA is involved in the talk about Medicare and who has the best plan and who will be the best president or vice president, it is too easy to forget something far more important.
On Thursday, seven serviceman died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. That brings the total of servicemen – and let’s not forget servicewomen – to more than 4,500. Another 24,000 wounded in meaningless wars that serves no purpose.
Let’s not forget the fallen.
