Disturbing flash forward
Dear Editor:I just love Roger Marolt! Never met him, maybe never saw him, but I love his commentaries and the way he thinks, especially yesterday’s “flash forward” about renaming Paepcke Auditorium Resnick Auditorium [“Mind, body, spirit – and pocketbook,” Aug. 18].The irony in Friday’s Aspen Times was the inclusion, also, of the flashback to the 1998 story of the heartwrenching wrecking ball wiping out the Paepcke house – and with it an important chapter of Aspen history.I choose to think that Walter Isaacson and the Resnicks read the letters to the editor of the past week. The Aspen constituency speaks. Imagine the tally if locals could vote on this one.Susan MauntelWoody Creek
