Disalvo’s time has come

Dear Editor:

I have worked with and for Joe Disalvo for the past seven years and have known him for the past 20 years.

Joe is an honorable man who has dedicated his professional life to public service in Pitkin County. Since Joe became undersheriff he has shown himself to be a hard-working and well-respected leader of our department. Joe is involved with all aspects of the department; he keeps himself well informed of the daily work while still allowing all of his deputies to maintain the discretion and judgment that has been a mainstay with this department for the past 24 years.

He never fails to treat his deputies with respect and just as Bob does, Joe expects the highest level of integrity and dedication from those deputies. On a professional and personal level I have great respect and admiration for Joe and feel privileged and honored to be trusted by him to carry out my duties as a deputy. I unequivocally support Joe Disalvo in his bid for the position of sheriff and would urge the citizens of Pitkin County to do so as well.

Deputy Jesse Steindler
