Diana Bartlett, 74, of Basalt, passed away Dec. 24, 2007, at home with her daughter, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Diana was born May 20, 1933, in Southern California. She was a resident of Basalt for 27 years and loved her home in the Roaring Fork Valley. She was an adventurous soul who spent time as an amateur geologist. She also loved nature, and gardening was her favorite pastime.
She loved and cared deeply about animals, partial to dogs, and even though she was of modest means, she contributed generously to many charities that supported preserving nature, and the love and care of animals. Diana was regarded as a person who gave of her time, love and wisdom. She was smart, funny and dedicated to all that knew her. She cherished her friends and loved ones, and they cherished her. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren.
