Denver Chapel says thanks you

Dear Editor:

The 2011 Aspen Chapel Annual Brunch brought our wonderful community together in ways that were so special that one would be remiss not to thank and thank again all those involved.

The brunch, a benefit for the Chapel and this year a tribute to long-time Chapel friends Jim and Jane Jenkins, was a huge success. If you were able to attend we feel sure you will agree that it was a spectacular party in every way, and particularly because of our gracious hosts, Dr. Patricia Hill and Nasser Sadeghi, and their absolutely beautiful home and gardens.

Delicious food by European Caterers, friendly games of horse shoes, live music with Cathy Markle and her Jazz All Stars and a fantastic silent auction made the day a true “Rocky Mountain High” for everyone.

Most of all Jane and Jim were deeply moved by the tribute, while all of us were grateful to be able to thank them for 33 years of service to the Aspen Chapel and community at large.

We also express our deepest thanks to the more than 50 area businesses who donated fabulous and unusual auction items, the many benefactors and contributors who keep the Chapel a vibrant force in our community, the Aspen Chapel Administrative Board and Board of Trustees, and the guests who made the day a whole lot of fun.

We appreciate your continued support and great enthusiasm. Your friendship and prayers keep the Aspen Chapel moving forward in its mission to promote an open and progressive theology, spiritual enrichment and peace through interfaith engagement in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond.
