Denise Reale

Denise Reale (formerly Horwitz), 51, a resident of Deerfield Beach, Fla., died unexpectedly on Jan. 27, 2010 from a massive heart attack.

She was a true and loving friend to all who knew her and had a great sense of humor. She had the special quality of drawing people near to her, people of all kinds, from all places and stages of life.

Though she had not lived in Aspen for several years, she still loved to visit her friends in the summer. She was planning to rent a place for a month this coming season.

In Aspen, she was one of the founding members of the Aspen Bridge Club, which was chartered in 2000. She was an avid bridge player in Aspen as well as in South Florida. She played competitively but also loved a social game for fun and laughter with her close friends.

When in Aspen, she would go to the daily educational sessions at the Music Tent and especially loved learning about the operas. She also enjoyed horseback riding and traveling.

Her beloved father Frank predeceased her. She is survived by her mother, Connie; her brothers Frank and Dean; and her dear and loving soulmate, Scott. She also leaves behind her dear dog, Rob Roy.

She will be missed by her many friends in Florida and in Aspen.
